The Hotel Schgaguler blends harmoniously into the alpine landscape with its simple and timeless architectural style. The renovation concept stems from the desire to understand silence as a design element and to create a balance between sound, space and landscape. The building is divided into compact, monolithic structures that enter into dialogue with the Dolomite landscape and the village structure, offering light-flooded, balanced interiors.

The collaboration with Studio Peter Pichler Architecture included acoustic planning, which was developed specifically for the wellness area and the restaurant. In the spa, swimming pools, saunas and fitness areas, noise is absorbed and filtered to create an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are equipped with specific sound-absorbing systems that have been discreetly integrated into the architecture and custom-made fixtures. The sound absorbers, which are suitable for damp rooms, contribute significantly to a subdued and relaxing atmosphere.

At the same time, extensive work was carried out on the building structure – with measures taken on floors, ceilings, walls, technical installations and ancillary rooms – which significantly optimised the control of vibrations and noise from technical installations.
