ENERGY RETROFIT OF THE ISARCO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING,
Bolzano (BZ)
Energy renovation in the historic centrer
The ISARCO residential complex located in the historic centre of Bolzano, built in 1957 and used over time both as a residential building and as offices, has recently benefited from an energy renovation project as part of the Superbonus programme. The owners’ goal was to sustainably increase the value of the property and significantly improve living comfort.
The main intervention concerned energy efficiency. During the renovation, the building was completely thermally insulated, with work carried out on all external walls and the roof, and the original windows were replaced with modern triple-glazed windows. The old oil-fired boiler was replaced by a gas condensing boiler, and photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof to produce renewable energy. At the same time, the attic was completely renovated, creating modern and comfortable living spaces. All the work was carried out without disrupting the daily lives of the residents and was completed in an extraordinarily short time, taking only six months in total.
